Pesticides Ambient Air Monitoring Plan and Report

The Pesticides Ambient Air Monitoring Plan for the Eastern Coachella Valley (ECV) community was developed through a collaborative effort with the ECV Community Steering Committee (CSC) and ECV Monitoring Working Team (MWT), as well as the California Air Resources Board (CARB), California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA), and the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR).

In accordance to this plan, CARB conducted air monitoring for the selected pesticides from November 28, 2022 to February 24, 2023. The results of the air monitoring was published by CARB in December 2023. This report is available at:

    Community Air Monitoring Plan (CAMP)

The main purpose of this Community Air Monitoring Plan (CAMP) is to summarize the proposed air monitoring activities for addressing the major air quality concerns identified by the Community Steering Committee (CSC) in Eastern Coachella Valley (ECV) community and provide information supporting the Community Emission Reduction Plan (CERP). South Coast AQMD is seeking input from the CSC and members of the public to revise and improve the CAMP.
